We were recommended to the clients by a previous client.

The first of their auction houses is based in Chiswick, London in a building dating to just post war.  The property was previously a restaurant and had been empty for several years and the basement was flooded.  Above the property are privately owned apartments.

We were given an initial brief to strip the restaurant, pump out the basement & obtain specialist water-proofing (tanking) of the room.  We then began the process of changing it into a top class auction house, with bespoke reception area, welcome desk, a full coffee shop & all new services including state of the art data systems (due to on-line bidding) and high security due to the value of the items in the auction house.

From this 1st auction house, we were then asked to refurbish another building for them, based in Twickenham, London.  The building was art-deco and was the 1st shop to buy tools in the UK.  It is a beautiful building but had been left to deteriorate for many years.

As with the fist building, we stripped entire internals, completely replaced the services, built a beautiful coffee shop area, bespoke reception/welcome desk, beautiful internal lighting and customer toilets & facilities.  Again, 1st class data and top of the range security and cctv.

The building has massive shop windows and all of these were replaced (on a very busy thoroughfare).   The roof was in an awful state and we replaced this, then re-rendered the external façade & decorated in the clients corporate blue.

As there was not an architect or clients representative on either project, the clients & ourselves worked very closely together & we liaised with the Local Authorities on scaffolding, public safety, licences & general work progression.
