Further detail

This project was a new, en-suite bedroom loft conversion.

The home was occupied throughout and did not have rear access so all the materials had to come over the house via scaffolding or through the house itself.

The roof was stripped, engineers calculations formulated that we had to drop all the ceilings on the 1st floor, use new joists and steels, then replasterboard and replaster.

The loft conversion itself is a timber framed construction clad in cementboard to match the original slate roof, with a rubberoid flat roof for longevity.

All new wiring, heating, hot and cold water, bathroom, decorations to the 1st floor and a new waste system were installed along with a half turn staircase to maximise space on the 1st floor.

We installed all new fire doors throughout (even though BC do not require this, the clients and ourselves thought it sensible.)

The timeframe was very tight for a project such as this but we met the deadline and budget and had some very happy clients!
